No topo da lista está Trainspotting, filme dirigido por Danny Boyle baseado na brilhante obra urbana do escocês Irvine Welsh. Segundo o Guardian, "Trainspotting hit the cinema screens like some freak weather event, upturning conventions and upsetting those it didn’t thrill, and British cinema has never been quite the same since".
A lista inclui desde filmes cults ingleses como Control, Sexy Beast, Naked, This is England, chegando até os sucessos de bilheteria como Four Weddings and a Funeral, Slumdog Millionaire e The English Patient.
Como toda lista, comete algumas injustiças, deixando de lado filmes como The Boy With The Striped Pyjamas, In The Name of the Father e Atonement.
